Which Courses Do I Need To Take? |
Your required coursework depends on your status as a Theatre & Dance major or minor. You must satisfy the requirements listed below at a minimum to be eligible for graduation. However, we recommend you participate in as many different areas of production as possible because the more you know about other departments the better performer, technician, or stage manager you will be in the future.
Each of the shop courses is introduced in DRA24 and it is recommended you enroll in that course as soon as you are able.
The show-based courses (180A - Performance, B - Design, C - Production Team, and D - Crew) are only available when we are mounting a show, and in only those numbers required for that production. Do not wait until your senior year to begin taking these courses.
The shop courses (180E - Scenic & Props, F - Costuming, and G - Lighting, Sound & Projections) are offered every quarter and allow a larger number of students to enroll.
Each unit taken below requires 30 hours of in-person classwork.
